TRYOUT PREP CAMP

Tryouts can determine an athlete’s entire season. Our 8-week Tryout Prep Camp is designed to help players show up prepared, confident, and ready to compete.

 

Each session combines skills development, strength training, and conditioning to build the technical skills and athletic performance needed to stand out during evaluations.

TRYOUT PREP OVERVIEW

The AZ Hockey Academy Tryout Prep Camp is an 8-week training program designed to help athletes sharpen their skills, build strength, and develop confidence before team tryouts.

 

Each training session combines skills development, strength training, and conditioning to ensure athletes are physically and technically prepared for the demands of competitive hockey.

 

Players will train in a high-repetition environment focused on skill execution, athletic performance, and game readiness.

SCHEDULE

Program Dates

+ March 17th - May 21st, 2026

Training Sessions

+ Tuesday's @ 5pm - 7pm

+ Thursday's @ 5pm - 7pm

+ Saturday's @ 9am - 11am

Program Pricing

+ Training Session: $80/player

​​

Each player can attend as many 2-hour sessions per week.

Athletes will train within age-appropriate groups to ensure proper development and competitive training intensity.

Each group will have a maximum number of athletes to ensure quality coaching and high repetition training.

STRUCTURE

SKILLS TRAINING (40-MIN.)

Athletes work on shooting mechanics, puck control, passing, and game-speed decision making in a structured coaching environment.

STRENGTH TRAINING (40-MIN.)

Hockey-specific strength and athletic performance training designed to improve:

• Explosiveness

• Balance

• Speed

• Core strength

CONDITIONING (40-MIN.)

High-energy conditioning drills focused on improving endurance, quickness, and overall athletic performance.
