FOUNDER & DIRECTOR | PLAYER DEVELOPMENT COACH
JORDAN ALLAN
Jordan Allan is a high-performance hockey coach, performance mentor, and entrepreneur recognized for building development-driven athletes and competitive training environments in Arizona. As the Founder and Director of AZ Hockey Academy, Jordan created a structured training model focused on measurable progression—combining skill development, physical preparation, and mindset training to help athletes separate themselves in competition.
With over 20 years of competitive playing experience across the United States and Canada, Jordan brings firsthand knowledge of elite hockey standards, player progression, and what it takes to perform under pressure. His experience at multiple levels of the game has shaped a coaching philosophy built around preparation, repetition, and intentional development.
Jordan’s approach to training emphasizes structure, accountability, and consistency—because the difference between average and elite players is rarely talent alone. It is preparation, habits, and execution that ultimately determine performance.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY
Jordan’s approach is rooted in one principle: training must translate to game performance. Every session is designed with purpose, and every rep is coached with intention to ensure that athletes are building habits that carry directly into competition.
His development framework emphasizes:
-
Technical mastery and efficient mechanics
-
High-repetition training with real feedback
-
Game-transfer decision-making and situational execution
-
Strength, speed, and athletic durability
-
Confidence, discipline, and competitive resilience
Jordan believes the best athletes are built through consistent standards, elite habits, and an environment that demands growth—while still keeping the game fun and purpose-driven.
BACKGROUND & RESULTS
Jordan has coached athletes across multiple levels of the game and has a track record of developing teams and players to compete at a high level.
As Head Coach of the Desert Mountain High School hockey program, he led the team to a second-place divisional finish through structured systems, culture-building, and high standards.
He also served as Head Coach for the Jr. Sun Devils, where his leadership helped guide the team to a state championship—reinforcing his commitment to preparation, discipline, and winning habits.
THE 'STANDARD'
AZ Hockey Academy was built to be more than a place to “get reps.” It is a performance-driven training environment where athletes develop confidence through structure, repetition, and feedback.
Jordan’s vision is to provide a development pathway that supports athletes year-round through skills training, strength and conditioning, and on-ice progression—helping players become complete competitors.
By maintaining high standards and a focused training environment, AZ Hockey Academy helps athletes build the habits required to succeed both on and off the ice.
WORK WITH COACH JORDAN
Jordan works directly with athletes through private and small-group training sessions at AZ Hockey Academy, supporting players at every stage of development—from young athletes learning strong fundamentals to competitive players preparing for advanced levels of play.
Training opportunities include skills development, performance training, and on-ice progression, depending on athlete goals and scheduling.
